Motorcycle and moped thefts on the rise in Calderdale

The incidents have happened over the last six months and the force is issuing advice to make sure vehicles are secured properly.
A spokesperson for the force said: “If you have a motorbike please use approved crime prevention devices to secure your bike.

Hide Ad“Check out “Sold Secure” website which is a police approved site. Sold secure security test products and give them a bronze, silver, gold and diamond rating.
“The website also tells you what each product is resistant to attack against.
“Have a look at chains, padlocks and ground anchors to secure your bike. Consider having a tracker fitted or even use DNA marking. Please share with anyone that owns a motorbike.”
